My Big Fat Greek Wedding!

15 Feb

I am currently helping with wedding favors  for a lovely bride and groom. I met the bride several years ago working for the City of Henderson. I was so happy to hear that she was getting married this summer! The bride explained to me that she was having a “Big Fat Greek Wedding.” They were having a hard time coming up with ideas for “Thank you” gifts for all their guests and asked for my assistance.  Here is what I have come up with so far…

Pink and Yellow Inspiration Board

14 Feb

Monday is finally over! I don’t know about you but I had a very busy weekend. My weekend was filled with family from out-of-town, dress shopping and playing Scategories with close friends and family.

I can’t wait to share with you all some exciting things coming up within the next couple months. I feel so blessed to have such supportive friends and family in my life. Setting out on your own is no easy task but having a great support system makes it that much more exciting.

Posies and Parties was invited to participate in open house in April. I was thrilled at the opportunity and couldn’t wait to start designing. Since this event is in early april, we are thinking a Spring and Easter theme. I think for this event, I’ll be staying away from traditional rabbits and eggs. I’m leaning towards pastels, flowers, mason jars, burlap and wooden milk crates.Image

25 Years and Growing

7 Feb

Last week, my in-laws announced they were going to be renewing their vows in July for their 25th wedding anniversary! I was honored when they asked me to help with the designing process!

When they got married 25 years ago, their colors were white and lavender. This time around, they want to do a more sophisticated and modern version of those colors. Here is the color scheme I’m thinking of. What do you think?

Perfection=Coffee and Parties!

3 Feb

I just met with a lovely “bride-to-be” to discuss her upcoming Bridal Shower. Lizzie went to Pastry School here in Las Vegas and is a fellow coffee lover. I personally believe, its never to early or to late in the day to have pastries and coffee.  I am loving this coffee party idea featured on Hostess with the Mostess. Check it out!

It’s time to party!

2 Feb

WOW! I can’t believe it is already February! I have had a rough start kicking off this blog but I haven’t let that get my spirits down.  I will be trying my hardest to post Monday-Friday about parties, weddings, new blogs and party inspritations. I am very excited to say I will have all my party packages posted soon!

So lets have some fun!

In a couple weeks, I plan to throw a small Valentines gathering for some close friends at my place. I can’t wait to have everyone together sharing in conversation, delicious sweets and colorful cocktails. I have been swooning over TomKat Studios valentines day printables for weeks now. I think I might just use some of their ideas to sweeten things up.
